A number of our members have had works selected to hang in 11 Central, a local eatery in Bangor, Maine. The restaurant has beautiful, big, brick walls, which showcase the paintings beautifully.
The Bangor Art Society is please to announce our first online auction, on our brand new website! The auction is live (and you can bid or buy now right NOW) but will officially begin on Black Friday and end on 12/20.
Prices include shipping, but if you desire expedited shipping for holiday arrival we can accommodate you but additional shipping maybe necessary. The artist will charge you directly.
As you may have noticed, we are in the midst of porting our website over from FASO to WordPress. Please bear with us as we reconfigure everything. I’m sure there will be some hiccups, but hang in there for our bigger and better site! We’ll have some great new features including:
- An online calendar
- the ability to host auctions
- A shopping cart for member works
- ..and much more!
Thank you for your patience,

Was a huge success at The Penobscot Valley Country Club
The Bangor Art Society held our annual “Paint the greater Bangor Area” on Thursday, October 11!
22 artists participated at PVCC! We thank Christine Foster, Food and Beverage Manager at PVCC for the wonderful refreshments and auction space that over-looked this historic course.
There was a Live Auction and a Silent Auction in the club house, and we appreciate the expertise of Auctioneer Mark Bradstreet.
Bangor Art Society is a proud member of the Greater Bangor Chamber, when you join BAS you automatically gain membership into the Chamber and reduced registration fee for the paint-out!
